Because Belgium is a bilingual country, Belgian literature is divided into the two independent languages spoken in the united states - French and Dutch or Flemish - and discussed under a languages one countries : France and Dutch. A bit of literature besides lives in the regional languages of Belgium, with authors in the Walloon language being particularly of note.
